The World of Books
Previously often times I thought of reading a book, completing Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or A Song of Ice and Fire. I always tried, but could never read beyond a few pages. At that time my main objective was just to read a book and complete it. I was reading it purely for the sake of reading it. It was like that for a long time, I bought a lot of books in hopes of completing them. But there was this one element, this one element that was missing for me, why? Why do I want to read that book or this book? Was it purely for the sake of social validation, or was there something deeper behind it? I got my answer, it was a mixture of all of those, and I considered reading books an elite habit despite never reading one. I romanticized it before I ever read once. But now that I have started my journey, I am romanticizing it ever more.
